Hello all! I'm new to the community, and new to hockey as well. The boyfriend and I live in Chicago, and he is a big Ducks fan. He doesn't have cable but would love to be able to watch the games. I have done some searching, and I cannot - for the life of me - find out what station carries any hockey games, let alone the Duck. It's the playoff for crying out loud; some station must carry it!

Any Chicago fans out there know what channel I should flip to?
Any fans from anywhere else know where I can look it up?

Go Ducks Go.

Hi there, I'm new to the community, and just wanted to say that the Ducks are kicking some major ass right now :D! Joffrey Lupul just scored his first career hat trick!

We have tickets to all the playoff games and we bought season tickets for next year. Good stuff!

Alright, i'm assuming the ducks got rid of rucchin to save some cap space, correct me if im wrong. all i wanted to say was that rucchin put in a lot of time and im kinda sad to see him go. i just wanted to say that i respected the guy, anyone else agree?
and i also wanted to know who else is freaking excited to see the neidermayer bros playing this season! go ducks!

And so I'm going to the game in Pittsburg tomorrow to see the Ducks play the Penguins, should be beautiful. 5th row blue line seats. Very excited.

I'm hoping Giguere is our goaltender. And maybe he'll even get another assist, heh, the Penguins are not the greatest team in the league, as we all know....they probably won't notice if JS smacks one down the center, lol. And good luck to the rest of the guys too, particularly my buddy Joffrey Lupul.

Anyway, Go Ducks!

sorry for the lack of updates, missed a few games as I was out of town.. no reason to add the scores now though.. so starting tomorrow everything should be up and running..

few things..

How about Fedorov!! First Russian born player to reach over 1,000 points! Go Fed!

Giguere is finally starting to show his playoff self winning 3 of his last 5 and more of his wins are showing with the Ducks winning by more than one goal!

Sykora & Prospal are starting to shine as well, hopefully this is a good sign for the ducks..

Last, how about the Ducks overall!! Ever since Carney made his little speech about having to win 20 of their next 30, the Ducks have only lost once! Last nights win over Vancouver put the ducks ahead overall of Dallas & took 4th place in their division.. keep it up and we MAY see playoff birth.. San Jose is on a roll though so things could get a bit rough..

Anyway, its good to be back and expect full updates after tomorrows win!

Keith Carney said on Yahoo.com that for the Ducks to consider making the playoffs they would have to start by beating Carolina yesterday. They did just that with a goal from Samuel Pahlsson at less than 5 minutes of regulation hockey. I guess great things come to those who wait seeing as how this was only Pahlsson's second goal of the year! Carney also said that after they beat Carolina they will need to do what they did last January-February.. and that is win 20 of their last 30 games.. and with San Jose in sort of a slump, now is their chance to get back in the Playoff spot!

Joffrey Lupul in 2004 YoungStars game!

-taken from Mighty Ducks newsletter 02/04/04-

"ANAHEIM, Calif. - The National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that Mighty Ducks of Anaheim right wing Joffrey Lupul has been named to the 2004 NHL YoungStars Game presented by Upper Deck.

Lupul is currently appearing in his first NHL season, and has earned 7-13=20 points in 42 NHL games this season. Among NHL rookie leaders, he currently ranks tied for fifth in assists (12), tied for seventh in points (18) and tied for 10th in goals. He currently ranks tied for fifth on the Mighty Ducks roster in points and sixth in assists.

As Part of NHL All-Star Weekend, the YoungStars Game showcases the NHL's finest young talent and takes place Saturday, Feb. 7 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The NHL All-Star Game takes place the following day, Sunday, Feb. 8. The Saturday night events (also the Dodge/NHL SuperSkills Competition) will be telecast live at 8 p.m., ET, by ESPN in the United States and CBC and RDS in Canada. NHL Radio also will broadcast the All-Star Saturday events.

The Anaheim winger is set to become the second Ducks player in as many seasons to appear in the game, following Stanislav Chistov who played in 2003.

A 6-1, 200-pound forward, Lupul was drafted by Anaheim in the first round (7th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The Edmonton, Alberta, native played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with Medicine Hat and signed a three-year entry-level contract with Anaheim on Nov. 13, 2002.

Anyone wanna take a stab at the outcome?

I heard from a few different sources that the Ducks are gonna start using Giguere a lot more instead of Gerber to get him back on track to be a better starter next year.

Hope they are right.. =\
